Before you pay
Prefer payment on collection after inspecting the product. For services, agree on the work, time and price before paying. Meet in a public campus area, let someone know where you are going, and keep your order reference.
Be careful with deposits, pressure to pay immediately, prices that seem too good to be true, payment screenshots and unexpected bank-detail changes. Confirm the seller through their registered contact before paying. Never share your password, card PIN or OTP codes.
HustleHub records requests but does not collect buyer payments, hold escrow, guarantee refunds or insure transactions. Seller business activation fees are separate from customer purchases.
What our badges mean
Identity checked: an admin reviewed identity evidence. Student status checked: an admin reviewed student evidence. Contact checked: an admin independently contacted the seller using the registered number. These checks expire and do not guarantee that a seller will fulfil every order.
Completed-order reviews require the buyer to confirm receipt. A review is one person's experience, not a guarantee.
If something goes wrong
Report a listing, store or your order using its Report button. Describe what happened, dates and the order reference. Track the report in Settings. Block a seller to hide their listings and prevent new orders. Blocking does not cancel existing orders or produce a refund.
Admins can pause stores and listings while investigating. Keep your receipts and messages. Do not send sensitive identity or banking information in a report.
Your private seller documents
Government ID, student card and payment proof use a private upload bucket. The uploader and authorized upload admins can access them. Admin access requires two-factor login and is recorded. Product photos are public, so never upload identity documents as listing images.
A daily cleanup job deletes private files older than 30 days, up to 300 files per run; larger backlogs take additional runs. You can request earlier deletion after review by contacting the administrator. Application status and non-document review records remain for moderation. Keyed identity fingerprints remain private to help detect repeated seller applications; raw identity and student numbers are not stored in that registry.
Report sensitive files that were uploaded publicly so the administrator can help remove them. No online system can promise absolute safety.

Secure your account
Verify your email, use a unique strong password and keep reset links private. Admins use individual accounts, an authenticator app and sessions that lock after inactivity. If you lose your authenticator, the Firebase project owner must verify you before recovering access.
